Look at the first graph you have created. Label portions of the print out that represents walking toward ("T") and away ("A") from the sonar ranger and standing still ("S"). What do you notice about the shape of the lines at different points?
Compare your first and second graphs? How are they the same? How are they different?
With your partner look carefully and discuss your graphs so that you can write a short description for each graph that tells the story of your movement. Be sure to include numerical information about the direction of your motion, the speed of your motion, and your distance from the starting point when changes in direction and speed occurred.
Look at the print out of the first and third graphs that you created. What similarities or differences do you notice about the shape of the lines in the two graphs?
Look at the portion of each of these graphs that represents your motion from 10 to 20 seconds after you started. What do you notice about the shape of these two lines?
Be prepared to discuss your answers to these questions with the class.
